We all know how most Nigerians receives random calls from people claiming to be bank staffs, they would give an excuse to request for your bank details (Please don’t give). It’s becoming rampant in Nigeria now but many are already wise while some actually did fall for it.
A man named Gabriel Olayinka has taken to his Facebook page to share a shocking experience he had with one of these callers and it’s unlike those who request for your BVN or so.
“Someone called me last month ,The person even told me my BVN and card number and I was shocked,he now said I should tell him my CVV (the three numbers at the back of your ATM) , he said the date of birth I used was not the same with the one on my ID card, I told him I would go back and change it, and he started begging me to give him my CVV number”
He explained that the unknown caller told him his BVN and his card number to prove he could be trusted, he later went on, that the date of birth on his account is different from the one on his ID card and it would required changing, but the man in question insisted he would go back himself and change it, but the caller ended up begging him for the CVV number.
