In a well attended party meeting Monday, August 5th 2024, the leadership and members of Kara-na-Orlu PDP unanimously echoed ‘ayeh! as a refined democrat, unarguably the finest and better equipped candidate, Hon. Nwabueze Melford Akano, popularly known as Opara-Nwangele waded into the ring for the Nwangele LGA chairmanship seat.
Opara-Nwangele is an individual who does not need further introduction in Nwangele. He has proven overtime to be credible, a tested and trusted team player, dependable, who has continued to use his resources both material and otherwise to better the lives of many within and outside Nwangele LGA. Hon. Melford Akano’s aspiration has been praised as a square peg in a square hole; while the more sophisticated class upholds his ambition as the meeting of a falcon with the falconer.
The party leadership expressed joy in his declaration in no uncertain term, declaring his quest a divine orchestration and, remarking that the party is poised to clinching the much sought-after position having fielded the best there could be.
The event was attended by the Kara-na-Orlu PDP leadership and members of the EXCO who included but not limited to the party chairman, Hon Chima Eke, youth leader, Josephat Uzoukwu, associates, the political class, friends and well-wishers.
