
Ogun govt. pays 40 per cent peculiar allowance to employees

The Ogun authorities says it has commenced the cost of the 40 per cent peculiar allowance to civil servants within the state.
Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to the Ogun Authorities, disclosed this in an interview in Abeokuta on Thursday.
Mr Talabi emphasised that the peculiar allowance was paid to fulfil the promise by Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration to cushion the impact of the financial hardship.
He defined that the aim of the allowance was to spice up the capability of the employees for higher productiveness.
The SSG mentioned the conversion of the federal government buses to compressed pure fuel by the current administration can be an added benefit to ease employees' and residents' mobility.
“The plan to make the cost is what was agreed on with labour unions to cushion the impact of gasoline subsidy elimination.
“Aside from the cost of N10,000 to the employees within the state for 3 months, a peculiar allowance can also be being paid to each civil servant,” he mentioned.
The secretary to the state authorities famous that the current administration remained dedicated to recognising and appreciating the diligent efforts of the employees.
