In a surprising turn of events, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has dissolved the board of Nasarawa United and appointed Prof. Othman Ibrahim Ahmed as the new chairman.
This decision comes after the team, under the leadership of Bar. Isaac Danladi, experienced a disappointing relegation. The governor aims to revitalize the team and return it to the elite ranks of football.
The announcement was made during a stakeholders' meeting held at the government house, involving various federated sports associations on Tuesday. Governor Sule expressed his commitment to the team's resurgence by instating a fresh board.
In his acceptance speech, Prof. Othman Ibrahim, the newly appointed chairman, unveiled the appointment of Coach Adams. Adams has previously coached the team at the level they are currently, making him a suitable choice to lead the squad back to glory.
