
Tech Skill Inclusion team was at Jephthah Comprehensive Secondary School Ozuoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State on the latter’s closing ceremony of the school’s Counselling Awareness Week held on the Friday, 7th February 2025. The topic for the tech talk was Career Path in Artificial Intelligence.
Dr Ijeoma Egege, the school counsellor, welcomed the three-man team and introduced them to the principal, Pastor Peter N. Obiekwe who was delighted to meet the team.
Speaking at the occasion, the team lead, Mr Mfoniso Akpatang, an AI specialist took the students on the rudiments; the background history, the rise and the dominance of AI in the 21st century tech space.
The students of Jephthah rose even higher to the occasion as they showed their mastery in the topic, raising highly technical questions, offering solutions and answers to the challenges posed by the team.
In his turn, Emmanuel Ugochukwu who is an expert Software Engineer and a Cyber Security giant took the students on factors to consider while choosing career paths, he reiterated that interest anchored on clear reasoning should be the first guiding light in choosing careers. He appreciated JMS Representatives who sang with the sum of one hundred thousand naira (₦100,000).
Chukwuebuka Amaechi, the author of Gbazakwin and CEO of Naijafreshgist.com led the students on interview session which happened to be the concluding segment of the event.
Tech Skill Inclusion evolved as compound tech industry in June 2022, and since then it has hosted among other events: Community Virtual Program in Web Development, Graphics Design, Cyber Security Webinar etc.
Jephthah Comprehensive Secondary School which was founded in 1995 has maintained her fame in providing “comprehensive Christian education in a supportive environment that promotes excellence in learning, self-discipline, and motivation, in ensuring that students become disciples of Jesus Christ and advance the global community”.
