Nigerian and Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, has made the list of the English Premier League nominees for the Player of the Month August award.
The announcement was made via the EPL handle, @premierleague, on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday,
The 26-year-old has had an impressive start in the 2023/2024 campaign, having registered three goals so far.
Awoniyi also provided the assist to teammate, Elanga's goal, during the 1-o win over Chelsea before the international break.
The other five players that made the cut are:
James Maddison – Tottenham Hotspur.
Jarrod Bowen – West Ham.
Bryan Mbeumo – Brentford.
Rodri – Manchester City.
Kaoru Mitoma – Brighton and Hove Albion
For the Manager of the Month award, the nominees are:
Pep Guardiola – Manchester City.
David Moyes – West Ham.
Ange Postecoglou – Tottenham Hotspur.
