Some youths gathered on Tuesday, in Akure, the State capital to protest the death of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as .

The protesters in their scores took to the streets of capital, wearing black T-shirts in honour of the late singer as they chanted ‘Justice for Mohbad'.

They carried placards with inscriptions such as “Say No to ”, “Justice for Mohbad”, “We want a coroner's inquest into Mohbad death”, amongst others.

The protest, however, caused a traffic logjam on the major in the town for a few hours.

One of the protesters, Ajulo Sunday, said their demand is to bring the perpetrators to book.

He said, “The untimely passing of Mohbad has shed light on the numerous issues within the music industry. His death should serve as a warning to other music record labels that promote bad behavior.

“We want the to deploy all forensic, technical, and other vital assets that are relevant to the investigation of homicide cases of this nature towards supporting their investigation process because we want justice for Mohbad.”

Throughout the period the protest lasted, there were presence of operatives comprising men of the state command and the state command of the and Civil Defense Corps to ensure the protest was not hijacked by hoodlums.
